Pencil Wildlife Artist

Julie has been drawing wildlife all her life. After studying at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design, she now works as a professional wildlife and portrait artist from her home in Cornwall. Julie works solely in pencil, creating highly detailed drawings.

Her inspiration comes from hours spent watching wildlife, making sketches and taking photographs. Julie also draws Cornish harbour and fishing scenes inspired from her local surroundings.

Julie has worked with the Born Free Foundation, Care for the Wild and the Orangutan Foundation producing drawings to raise funds. She was awarded "commended" for her drawing of two Sumatran tigers, in the 2007 Wildscape, wildlife artist of the year competition, bronze at T.W.A.S.I 2007 and Silver in 2008 and was selected as a finalist at ' David Shepherd's, Wildlife artist of the year 2011' awards.

Julie's original work can be found at wildlife exhibitions throughout the country including: N.E.W.A and The Mall Galleries London and also for sale at the David Shepherd Gallery (Shalford, Guildford) and locally in Padstow, Cornwall
